We do require some sort of authentication. We do not require any complexity like file locking. when emulating a normal mass-storage device, the host computer assumes it has. All of the apps we could find were shall we say 'experimental', and not robust enough for production.ĭoes anyone know of a device, or an application that can run on Android/Pi/Windows 10 NUC/whatever that we can use to solve this problem? A FUSE-based file system which can create virtual files on a host Pi. We also tried a couple of things on a Raspberry Pi. We tried some solutions, one with an Android phone with the USB port in OTG mode, and networking over wi-fi. I want to replace the flash drive with some sort of device that can provide network access. To access the images the user has to unplug the flash dice, plug it into their PC, copy files, and then unplug and plug back into the camera. We have an expensive inspection camera that saves images to a USB flash drive. We are on a quest to lock down USB ports.
